Jeremy Giplin

Jeremy Gilpin

Executive Vice President of Greater Commercial Lending

24 years of banking experience with 20 years of providing guaranteed lending through USDA B & I, REAP, FSA, USDA 9003, and SBA. Mr. Gilpin has closed and serviced over $900 million in USDA Business and Industry, REAP, and IRP RLF loans over the past 20 years mainly from the North West Region most recently as a Credit Administrator for the oldest community bank in the state of Washington. Previously Mr. Gilpin provided USDA and SBA loan services for banks in the Mid-West. Mr. Gilpin currently sits as the Chairperson for The National Rural Lenders Association, an association that works directly with the USDA national directors as well as political leaders to ensure that financing options remain viable and available to rural communities.

Jenny Casselman

Jenny Casselman

Vice President of Commercial Operations

A part of the Greater Nevada family of organizations for the past 15 years, Jenny has a distinct blend of experience that includes both serving customers directly and strengthening back end operations. She also has in-depth experience in working with government lending programs, government-sponsored enterprises (GSE), regulatory bodies, and the secondary market.

Jenny currently directs operations for Greater Commercial Lending’s commercial loan servicing, secondary marketing, funding, and investor areas. In addition to building, developing, and leading strong teams, she implements processes that ensure lending integrity for all stakeholders involved in the transaction, from servicing to the secondary marketing sale.

Prior to joining the commercial lending team, Jenny was on the retail and mortgage side of the business. Her responsibilities involved leading strategic initiatives for Greater Nevada Mortgage while overseeing several lines of business and ensuring compliance with Fannie Mae, FHA, and USDA lending programs. She executed strategies to build, strengthen, and grow the mortgage loan servicing and funding operations, as well as the secondary market operations.

Active in her community, Jenny serves on The Nevada Governor’s Council for Developmental Disabilities and is a volunteer for the Special Olympics. Along with an MBA, she holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management.

Lisa Siesennop

Lisa Siesennop

Vice President of Credit Administration

For the past 10 years, Lisa worked for USDA Rural Development, focused on business and renewable energy guaranteed lending. She worked in the both the National Office (Washington, DC) and the Oregon State Office (Portland, OR). Prior to USDA, Lisa worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado (Golden, CO) for two years, focused on transferring renewable energy technologies from the development phase to the commercial implementation phase. Lisa has a BA in English Literature and a MBA in Finance and Accounting.

Todd Hubbell

Vice President of Commercial Production

Todd Hubbell has been working with Greater Commercial Lending since February 2018. Prior to joining the team, Todd was Chief of the Technology Branch in the Energy Programs section of the Rural Business– Cooperative Service, located within the Rural Development mission area of the US Department of Agriculture. During his tenure at USDA, Todd was responsible for running the day to day operations of the Biorefinery, Renewable Chemical and Biobased Product Manufacturing Assistance Program, as well as determining the technical feasibility for projects applying for funding assistance to the Renewable Energy for America and Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Programs. He has over 15 years of commercial credit and project finance experience, as well as experience underwriting, and servicing government guaranteed loans.

Greg McKay

Greg McKay

Government Lending Relationship Officer

Greg works directly with Greater Commercial Lending’s borrowers and business partners to facilitate the delivery of government guaranteed commercial lending solutions. With a background that includes a combined 16+ years of professional experience in commercial credit underwriting and the consumer banking industry, he has also underwritten loans and structured project financing for lenders and commercial realtors. Greg has helped finance projects across a span of businesses, including hotels, golf courses, warehouses, and medical facilities.

Previously, Greg held management roles at Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank. He also oversaw production, underwriting, and business development activities for the Reno office of the Nevada State Development Corporation (NSDC), a nonprofit focused on delivering long-term, fixed-rate financing of owner-occupied commercial real estate and eligible long-term equipment through the 504 loan program.

Greg is certified in advanced credit analysis by the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) and studied computer engineering technology.

Jesse Hartford

Jesse J. Hartford

Government Lending Relationship Officer

With more than 17 years of professional lending experience, Jesse serves as a business loan officer and credit analyst for Greater Commercial’s clients and brokers. He steers the entire loan process, from consultation and completion of approval writeups to loan closings. He works with USDA B&I, USDA Community Facilities, SBA 7a, SBA 504, and FSA government-guaranteed loans.

Before focusing on government-guaranteed lending, Jesse handled consumer loan origination, HELOC servicing, consumer loan servicing, and non-guaranteed commercial loan servicing for Greater Nevada Credit Union’s consumer and commercial clients. He has previously supported lending clients of Harley-Davidson Financial Services while ensuring quality across the consumer lending function.

Jesse’s extensive education includes 300+ hours of commercial lending and credit union industry training and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Art Institute of California, San Francisco. He also honed his process improvement skills while completing a Six Sigma Green Belt project.

As a volunteer, Jesse provides support to the Special Olympics of Northern Nevada.

Commercial Servicing and Documentation Manager

Tracy has over 22 years of banking experience previously as the Vice President of Loan Documentation for PNC Bank in Virginia. Tracy has experience with servicing all guaranteed loan types including servicing USDA loans sold on the secondary market.

Shalla Murrill

Shalla Murrill

Private Lending Relationship Officer

Shalla applies her 23+ years of experience in commercial and government guaranteed lending to deliver optimal solutions to Greater Commercial Lending’s private borrowers in agriculture, retail, and service-based businesses. Her specialized knowledge includes packaging, documenting, closing, and servicing SBA 7a, SBA Express, SBA Export, 504, FSA, and USDA loans.

Previously employed by Plumas Bank and Bank of The West, Shalla focused on meeting the lending needs of CRE purchases, business acquisitions, expansions, ground-up construction/building improvements, equipment purchases, debt refinancing, stock purchases, asset purchases, startup businesses, and lines of credit.

Shalla is an active member of her community, volunteering for FISH Social Services for rural Northern Nevada and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, and serving as a youth group leader.

Claudia Hill

Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist

Claudia’s more than 37 years of experience in commercial banking have been centered on commercial lending. She has supported borrowers in numerous areas, including commercial real estate, construction, residential development, business equipment, tenant improvement, and those pursuing SBA lending.

Prior to joining Greater Commercial Lending, Claudia worked for banks in Nevada and Texas; these diverse institutions ranged from a community bank to one of the largest in the nation. She attended financial courses at the University of Las Vegas and North Harris County Community College.

Claudia has served as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots.

Bud Snoke

Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist

Bud has held multiple roles in the Greater Nevada organizations, working in commercial loan services, member services, branch operations, and business lending. He currently works with financial institutions, brokers, packagers, and government agencies to support USDA, conventional and construction loans sales. Bud is a volunteer with Special Olympics.

Brandon Sprung

Commercial Credit Analyst

Brandon has 5 years of commercial lending experience. Brandon worked as a Commercial Credit Analyst and as a Commercial Loan Officer in Eastern Oregon and Western Washington. Brandon has experience with several types of loans including USDA, SBA, and Agricultural lending and attended Western State Commercial Lending School.

Eric Astrup

Commercial Credit Analyst

Eric performs annual reviews on borrowers with USDA and SBA loans, as well as those with non-governmental commercial and commercial real estate loans. His 20 years of banking experience have primarily focused on conducting loan reviews for customers in a range of industries.

With a background that also includes serving as a bank examiner for the states of Montana and North Dakota, as well as early experience with Wells Fargo, Eric has a broad base of financial services knowledge. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and another in Business Administration, both from Dickinson State University.

Matt Franzino

Commercial Loan Document Specialist

Matt has been in financial services for 10 years, at Bank of the West and Wells Fargo Bank, working in personal banking, mortgage origination and operations, and financial advising. Prior to beginning his career in financial services, Matt founded and ran an organic vegetable farm, handling both business and horticulture operations.

He handles appraisals and flood determinations for Greater Commercial Lending, providing support for USDA, SBA, conventional, and construction loans. Along with setting up ACHs and developing remittance reports for the investors and participants, he books each loan into the internal system.

Heavily involved in the community, Matt serves as a mentor and is a volunteer with the Special Olympics, Bite of Reality, the Nevada Humane Society - Carson City, Keep Tahoe Blue, and Camp Lots of Fun.

Emily Andrea

Commercial Loan File Coordinator

Emily organizes internal and attorney prepared commercial loan documents for auditors to examine for regulatory compliance. She works closely with external vendors to acquire additional documentation for a variety of commercial loan types, including SBA, USDA, and construction.

Emily’s previous financial experience was also with a Greater Nevada organization, where she was a member service representative/bank teller for the credit union. While in college, Emily worked in customer service for In-N-Out Burger. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Western Nevada College.

Katia Varela

Commercial Loan File Coordinator

Katia gathers commercial loan materials from internal staff, attorneys, and external vendors for use in audits. To help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, she organizes documentation specific to SBA, USDA, and construction loans.

Before joining Greater Commercial Lending, Katia had worked as a vendor services representative for a real estate valuation company and served as a legislative intern for a US Senator. Currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Katia also has a Bachelor of Science in Business/Economics from DePaul University. In her free time, she is a volunteer income tax assistant at the Community Services Agency in Reno.
