Greg McKay

Senior Government Lending Relationship Manager

Greg works directly with Greater Commercial Lending’s borrowers and business partners to facilitate the delivery of government guaranteed commercial lending solutions. With a background that includes a combined 16+ years of professional experience in commercial credit underwriting and the consumer banking industry, he has also underwritten loans and structured project financing for lenders and commercial realtors. Greg has helped finance projects across a span of businesses, including hotels, golf courses, warehouses, and medical facilities.

Previously, Greg held management roles at Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank. He also oversaw production, underwriting, and business development activities for the Reno office of the Nevada State Development Corporation (NSDC), a nonprofit focused on delivering long-term, fixed-rate financing of owner-occupied commercial real estate and eligible long-term equipment through the 504 loan program.

Greg is certified in advanced credit analysis by the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) and studied computer engineering technology.

Peter Ahjohn

Government Lending Relationship Officer

Peter cultivates relationships with Greater Commercial Lending’s borrowers and guides them through the process of securing SBA and USDA government loans. In addition to specializing in government-guaranteed commercial lending solutions, he facilitates the delivery of loans from throughout the national and Nevada markets. He works with borrowers from a range of areas, including retail, biotech, manufacturing, hospitality, and assisted living facilities.
 
Prior to joining GCL, Peter spent 20+ years concentrating on CRE and C&I lending in various banking institutions. He worked for First Choice Bank, Clearinghouse CDFI, AmericanWest Bank, Seacoast Commerce Bank, and San Diego National Bank. Throughout his career in progressively responsible roles, he gained deep expertise in SBA, CDFI, and NMTC programs.
 
Peter has an MBA in Banking and Finance from Long Island University, and a BBA in Marketing from Baruch College. He is a veteran of the US military.
