Now that the merger of Frontier Financial Credit Union (FFCU) into Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) has been approved, our priority is to make your transition to GNCU membership as simple as possible. Questions and Answers about Your Transition to Greater Nevada

When do FFCU service channels officially transfer to GNCU?

FFCU branches and ATMs will close at 5:30 pm on September 29, 2017, and re-open as GNCU branches and ATMs on October 2, 2017. Beginning October 2, 2017, please call (775) 882-2060 or toll free (800) 421-6674 to reach your credit union.

Will I need to set up new direct deposits and automatic payments?

Moving forward, please use GNCU’s routing and transit number 321280143 when setting up automatic payments and deposits. For reference, your former FFCU routing and transit number was 321280253. There is no action required for your existing direct deposits and automatic payments (such as your payroll, Social Security and gym membership fees). They will continue to process without interruption.

Can I continue to use my FFCU debit card and checks?

You should receive your new GNCU debit card by October 2, 2017, with instructions on how to activate it. If you have not received your new debit card by October 2, please visit your nearest branch or contact us at (775) 882-2060 or (800) 421-6674. FFCU ATM and debit cards will be deactivated and any recurring payments associated with these cards will no longer post after October 5, 2017.

FFCU checks will continue to be honored, and you can expect to receive a new box of GNCU checks by the end of October. If you need checks before then, please visit your nearest branch, call us at (775) 882-2060 or (800) 421-6674, or visit gncu.org.

Can I still access my FFCU electronic statements?

Until further notice, you may continue to use the existing method to access your FFCU electronic statements. Beginning October 2, you may access your new GNCU eStatements via GNCU’s eBranch online banking. Instructions for activating your GNCU eBranch access are on the following page.

Did my loan or certificate rate change?

The rate on your existing FFCU fixed rate loan or share certificate will remain unchanged until the end of the existing term. Any new GNCU certificates or loans will be subject to current rate offerings.

Did my deposit insurance change?

Your deposits are now federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) up to $250,000 per member for aggregate Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), and separately up to $250,000 per member for non-IRA accounts. The NCUSIF is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a federal agency that is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.

How do I set up my new GNCU online and mobile banking?

FFCU online and mobile banking will switch to GNCU’s eBranch online and mobile banking on October 2, 2017. Please follow these instructions to activate your GNCU eBranch online banking, and then your eBranch mobile banking (your GNCU mobile banking will not function properly until after you have logged in to eBranch):

  1. Visit gncu.org and click on eBranch Login. Enter your existing FFCU online banking member ID in the Sign-on ID section and click Enter. (If your existing FFCU online banking member ID contains special characters or exceeds 15 characters, please call (775) 882-2060 or (800) 421-6674 so that we can assign you a new ID.)
  2. Your temporary password is the last six digits of your social security number.
  3. Once you are logged in to eBranch, please review all areas to ensure your accounts, bill pay and payee information have been transferred correctly. For security reasons, please also reset your password. If you have any questions, please call us at (775) 882-2060 or (800) 421-6674.
  4. After activating your GNCU eBranch online banking, install the eBranch mobile banking app from the Android Market or Apple App Store.
