Greater Nevada Credit Union launches annual ‘Greater School Supplies Drive’

RENO, NEVADA (June 16, 2025) – As the academic year comes to a close, Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) is gearing up for summer with its annual Greater School Supplies Drive to help northern Nevada students and teachers prepare for the next school year.

The annual drive aims to alleviate the financial obstacles to education faced by both students and educators in the community. Last year, teachers across the country spent an average of $610 out-of-pocket to supply their classrooms with tools needed for children to learn, like notebooks, pens and books.

“The supplies this drive helps collect are crucial to creating an environment where children and teachers can thrive,” said Danny DeLaRosa, president and CEO of GNCU. “We are passionate about supporting northern Nevada’s classrooms, and are grateful to be part of a community that bands together every year to make this effort successful.”
