How We Protect You

Qualify for Rewards and Waive the Monthly Service Charge

Qualifying for rewards and having the monthly service charge waived is easy. Simply do the following during each monthly qualification cycle:

Have at least nine debit card purchases post and clear;
Have at least one direct deposit post and clear; and
Be enrolled to receive online eStatements.

If you don’t meet the requirements during one monthly qualification cycle, no rewards will be earned and the service charge will apply. But don’t worry! You can get back to earning the rewards the very next monthly qualification cycle.

What is a rewards checking account?

A rewards checking account is one that’s designed to offer incentives for purchases you make, either with specific retailers or for everyday purchases. As you spend at your favorite stores, you accumulate rewards that are delivered to you on a regular, ongoing basis.

How does rewards checking work?

By shopping as you normally do, you will earn rewards on your purchases. With a Rock Checking account, you’ll earn up to $10 per month in credits (along with a $20 sign-on bonus credit for the first month) when you make purchases with your GNCU Visa debit card from the following designated retailers: iTunes®, Amazon® or Google Play™. Better yet, there is no minimum balance required and includes up to $15 in out-of-network ATM fee refunds each month.

Who is eligible for a rewards checking account?

The only requirement to become eligible for our Rock Checking account is to be a member of Greater Nevada Credit Union–which is open to anyone who either works or lives in Nevada, or you have an immediate family member who does. Join today.
