Greater Nevada Credit Union staff accepting the Corporate Partner of the Year Award from the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business in 2025

Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) was honored as the Corporate Partner of the Year at the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business’s 2025 Honors and Awards Banquet, held Friday, April 25. This award recognizes GNCU’s strong and sustained commitment to the College and its students, with a particular focus on the credit union’s involvement in the BizFIT program.

BizFIT is the College of Business’s Freshmen Intensive Transition program, which prepares incoming students for success by introducing them to the academic, professional, and leadership opportunities available within the college. Through BizFIT, GNCU team members have helped students develop essential financial skills, understand how to write a business plan, and build confidence in networking and professional development.

GNCU’s recruiting team also supports the College through annual participation in the College of Business Career Fair. Each year, team members volunteer to conduct mock interviews, review resumes, and help prepare students for career readiness alongside other valued College of Business partners.

This recognition highlights the important work of GNCU’s Business Development, Community Impact, and Recruiting teams. Business Development Specialist Kirstin Fisher has played a key role in facilitating the partnership with the College of Business and bringing financial wellness programming to students.

Board members Marsha Burgess and Bill Arensdorf joined GNCU staff at the banquet to accept the award, alongside faculty, students, and other community partners.

GNCU is proud of this collaboration and looks forward to continuing to support Nevada’s next generation of business leaders.
