Greater Nevada Credit Union Partners with KTMB for Washoe County Christmas Lights Recycling Drive

Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) is proud to partner with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) to support their Christmas Lights Recycling Drive. Through this partnership, community members can recycle their non-working or unwanted holiday lights responsibly and help reduce waste during the festive season.

From December 15 through January 11, GNCU’s Washoe County branches will serve as official drop-off sites for the community. Members and non-members alike are encouraged to bring in strands of burned-out or unused lights, which KTMB will ensure are properly recycled.

You can drop off non-working or unwanted Christmas lights at boxes in these GNCU locations in the Reno/Sparks area:

  • Golden Valley Branch – 1095 North Hills Blvd, Reno
  • Northwest Reno Branch – 5150 Mae Anne Ave, Suite 203, Reno
  • South Reno Branch – 6745 Sierra Center Pkwy, Reno
  • Spanish Springs Branch – 1101 Los Altos Parkway, Sparks
  • Vista Branch – 120 Salomon Court, Sparks

This initiative is part of GNCU’s ongoing commitment to building sustainable communities and supporting local organizations that make northern Nevada a cleaner, greener place to live. To learn more about GNCU’s community impact work, visit the Helping Our Communities page.
