Together, We’re Building an Even Stronger Future for Nevada

For more than seventy-five years, we have grown alongside our state. We have always believed our role is bigger than financial services. It is about helping Nevadans build stronger futures, supporting our communities, and doing the right thing for the people we serve.

We are pleased to share that Greater Nevada Credit Union and America First Credit Union have entered into a merger agreement. This agreement is subject to all required regulatory approvals. If the merger is approved, Greater Nevada Credit Union will operate as Greater Nevada, a division of America First Credit Union.

This partnership brings together two credit unions that share a commitment to people helping people, community impact, and exceptional member service. Together, we are building an even stronger combined organization that expands what we can offer members while preserving the values and relationships that matter most.

Built on Shared Purpose. Focused on You.

America First and Greater Nevada share a longstanding commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people and communities they serve. Together, the organization will continue to support Nevada through community partnerships, volunteerism, charitable giving, and a focus on helping individuals, families, and businesses thrive.

By combining forces, we are better positioned to:

  • Expand access to branches and ATMs across Nevada and the West
  • Provide additional products, services, and digital banking capabilities
  • Enhance support for consumers, businesses, and rural communities
  • Continue investing in Nevada communities and local relationships
  • Support our employees as one team focused on delivering meaningful impact

America First is one of the nation’s largest credit unions, serving more than 1.5 million members with more than $26 billion in assets and 122 locations across six states. The organization already has a growing presence in Nevada, including Southern Nevada. Together, we can create a stronger statewide footprint while maintaining trusted relationships that our members value.

The approval process is expected to continue in the months ahead, with completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Day-to-Day Banking Stays the Same

There are no immediate changes to your accounts, loans, cards, deposits, direct deposits, automatic payments, online banking, branches, or ATMs. Here’s what you can expect:

  • No immediate changes to your accounts, loans, cards, or how you bank
  • Continued access to online banking, branches, and ATMs
  • Your deposits remain federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $250,000 per member
  • The same protections and security you rely on today remain in place
  • Advance communication before any future changes

You can continue banking exactly as you do today.

While work will be happening behind the scenes, our focus is simple. Ensure you experience consistency, stability, and confidence every step of the way.

More Access. More Convenience. Same Commitment.

Over time, you can expect:

  • Access to a larger branch and ATM network across Nevada and throughout the West
  • Expanded products and services to meet more of your financial needs
  • Enhanced digital banking tools for greater convenience
  • Stronger support for small businesses and local growth

America First already serves members throughout Nevada and maintains a significant presence in Southern Nevada. Together, we can create a stronger statewide credit union presence while preserving the trusted local relationships members value.

At the same time, what makes Greater Nevada special will not change.

You will continue to:

  • See familiar faces in your local branches
  • Experience local leadership and decision-making
  • Be supported by a team that is aligned and working together with a shared purpose

If approved, we will proceed with a thoughtful, well-planned transition and keep you informed every step of the way.
