Working With Two Men and a Truck

The community is being asked to support women escaping domestic violence by donating supplies at a Greater Nevada Credit Union branch in Reno and Sparks during this special campaign. Two Men and a Truck organizes the Movers for Moms program across the country each year. Locally, donations will be gathered for the Domestic Violence Resource Center (DVRC), benefitting women living in compromised situations.

The drive will take place starting Tuesday, April 22 through Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the community is encouraged to drop off donation items to all GNCU Washoe County branches.

“We sincerely appreciate all of the help and support that GNCU gave to this initiative in 2023 and we are excited to be partnered with your organization again in 2024. Your customers and employees supported the survivors of domestic violence in huge ways, and it was very much appreciated by the DVRC and the women and children who were helped,” said Alexis Riggs, Franchise Owner.

Items may also be purchased online for donation if you can’t make it in person through the DVRC’s Amazon Wish List.

Donation items should be new. This year’s items needed include:

  • Full size shampoo/conditioner
  • Body wash & luffa
  • Deodorant
  • Razors
